Remove fluoride for sewage

Fluoride is a trace element widely present in the natural environment and has an important impact on human health and the ecological environment. However, excessive fluoride can produce toxic effects on organisms, leading to various health problems. When the fluoride content in wastewater exceeds the standard and the current treatment process is not thorough, a defluorinating agent can be used at the end of the sewage treatment. It is suitable for treating the excessive fluoride in sewage, and the effluent can stably meet the standard of being less than 1mg/L.

Under normal circumstances, the dosing location and conditions should be considered: when the fluoride ion content in water is too high, considering the cost-effectiveness of the reagent, it is recommended to use the traditional method in the first step to reduce the content to below 20mg/L. After sedimentation, the defluorinating agent should be added during the secondary treatment, which has the lowest cost of use.

For the traditional two-stage defluorination process, in the second-stage dosing, it is only necessary to replace the traditional dosing scheme of lime, calcium chloride and PAC with a defluorinating agent. Only the defluorinating agent and PAM need to be added. After defluorination with calcium salt, the fluoride content is about 20 mg/L, and it is very difficult to further reduce the fluoride content. Currently, many standards require it to be less than 3mg/L, or even less than 1mg/L.
