The Action Principle of Organic Fertilizer Deodorant
In modern agricultural production, organic fertilizer is favored because it can improve soil structure and enhance soil fertility. However, the organic fertilizer production process is often accompanied by a troubling odor problem. A large number of organic matter in the fermentation process, will produce pungent gases such as ammonia and hydrogen sulfide, not only affect the surrounding air quality, but also may cause complaints from residents, hinder the healthy development of organic fertilizer industry. The application of organic fertilizer deodorant provides an effective way to solve this difficult problem.
The working principle of organic fertilizer deodorant is mainly based on chemical reactions and biodegradation. From a chemical point of view, some components of deodorant can neutralize or redox react with odor gas. For example, the acidic component can react with ammonia to convert it into harmless ammonium salt, and the strong oxidant can react with sulfur odor gases such as hydrogen sulfide to oxidize the sulfur element into stable sulfate, thus eliminating the odor.
In terms of biodegradation, some deodorants contain specific microbial flora. These microorganisms feed on the source of odor gas —— organic pollutants, and under appropriate environmental conditions, gradually decompose complex organic macromolecules into harmless substances such as carbon dioxide, water and inorganic salts. In the metabolic process, they inhibit the growth and reproduction of harmful microorganisms that produce bad smell, and reduce the production of peculiar smell from the source.
Organic fertilizer deodorant has significant advantages. Its high efficiency is reflected in rapidly reducing the odor intensity and improving the air quality of the production environment in a short time. In the large organic fertilizer production workshop or composting field, after spraying deodorant, can obviously feel the reduction of odor. Moreover, it has good adaptability, no matter it is livestock manure, plant residues and other raw materials made of organic fertilizer, in different fermentation stages, can play a role in deodorization. The use method is also relatively simple, which can be evenly sprayed on the surface of the organic fertilizer pile, the air in the production workshop, or added to the fermentation liquid.
