Waste odor control is a key challenge in municipal solid waste management, especially in garbage transfer stations where high concentrations of hydrogen sulfide (H₂S), ammonia, and sulfur compounds are released during waste storage and transfer.
In this project, a plant-based deodorant system was applied to effectively reduce odor emissions in a large-scale garbage transfer station. The solution targets key odor pollutants such as hydrogen sulfide and ammonia, achieving high deodorization efficiency in real operating environments.
Compared with traditional chemical deodorization methods, plant deodorant technology provides a safer, eco-friendly and non-secondary pollution solution. It is widely used in modern waste odor control systems due to its stability and environmental benefits.
According to environmental odor management guidelines from EPA, biological and plant-based treatment methods are increasingly recognized as sustainable solutions for air pollution control.
