During the operation of the catering industry, oily catering wastewater containing pollutants such as grease and food residues will be generated. Usually, the oil in the wastewater comes from the cleaning process of raw materials and food equipment. If this wastewater is discharged directly into urban sewers or natural water bodies without treatment, it will cause serious pollution to the environment. Therefore, the catering industry needs to take certain measures to treat these oily wastewaters.
Common methods for treating oily catering wastewater are:
1. Physical oil separation method: Physically separate oil and water through a grease trap, and use the principle of different densities of oil and water to make the oil float on the water surface for collection.
2. Chemical flocculation method: Add chemical agents to the wastewater to make small oil droplets condense into larger particles for easy removal.
Biological treatment method: Use microorganisms to decompose organic matter in wastewater and reduce the content of pollutants.
In general, the treatment process of oily catering wastewater is: first, remove larger suspended matter and impurities through the screen, and then remove the floating oil on the surface of the oily wastewater through the oil separator. At this time, the oil content in the wastewater is still relatively high. If it is directly treated biochemically, it is difficult to completely solve the problem of oil content. Usually, demulsifiers can be used for pretreatment before biochemical treatment. Through flocculation and precipitation, most of the oil in the wastewater can be flocculated and precipitated, and at the same time, it can further achieve the effects of phosphorus removal, COD, SS reduction, etc.
Beijingshi demulsifiers are divided into three categories: reverse demulsifiers, two-phase demulsifiers, and composite demulsifiers. The ingredients include polymers, surfactants, polysilicon, aluminum salts, iron salts, etc., which can electrolyze negative and positive organic groups in water, and at the same time, emulsify and mix emulsified oil, colloids, surfactants, solvents, etc. in water or flocculate and separate suspended matter; the removal rate of oil, surfactants, and colloids in wastewater is above 95%, the removal rate of COD is 50-90%, and the removal rate of chromaticity, total phosphorus, SS, and heavy metals is above 95%.
